Bleshoender Accommodation is a self-catering unit situated in Sedgefield, the heart of the Garden Route. It is 25 km from Knysna, and 35 km from George. It is the ideal base from where one can explore the Garden Route. In a hour or less you can reach Mosselbaai, Hartenbos, Oudtshoorn, Plettenbergbay, Buffelsbay, Brenton-on-sea, Wilderniss, Victoriabay, Heroldsbay, Groot Brak river, Small Brak river or Glentana. Stormsriver is a mere 110km away with the worlds highest bungee jumping bridge for the brave of heart. Or try the longest ziplining over the ocean at Mosselbay.
Comfortable accommodation is offered for 2 - 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, in a flatlet beneath the main private residence. It features a double bed and a double bed sleeper couch in the lounge. Guests are required to bring their own bed sheets, pillowcases, and beach towels. Bath towels, pillows and blankets will be supplied.
The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, fridge, frying pan, toaster, and sandwich toaster as well as a 2-plate stove with a small oven. The bathroom is fitted with a large shower. There is Wi-Fi internet access and a TV with the full DStv bouquet for your viewing pleasure.
Dishes needs to be done in the outside sink as there is no facility or space available in the flat.
Because of the unit situated in a panhandle, there is no safe place for small kids to play as the surroundings is in levels and the driveway is very steep. Kids needs to by supervised at all the time.
There is an outside braai facility in front of the flat. We regret, no parking is available for trailers, boats, caravans or an extra vehicle.

Very pleasant host and hostess. The neat garden and location make you forget there is such a word as stress.
Cosy and comfortable stay. Hosts were very accommodating.
It's the first time I had to bring my own bedding. The layout where the kitchen is basically in three sections is a bit awkward. The sink is outside and the hot faucet has caused the power to shut down. The fridge, microwave and other electric kitchen appliances are separate. The kettle and crockery are grouped near the dining table.
Very nice place to rest. Garden is beautiful and makes one feel just nice and comfortable.
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They go the extra mile to ensure a most pleasant stay. I will definitely go back.

Cute little place, everything you need. Mattress comfortable for one person. For two heavier people more uncomfortable, every movement is felt. Fortunately a sofa bed for 2nd person that is comfortable for 1 person. Ramp very steep, not for the 'faint hearted'. Can definitely recommend place for price.
We had a wonderful stay in Bleshoender. Danie and Suzette's hospitality makes them feel more like friends. Everything was nice and clean, and nothing was lacking in any of the amenities. We will definitely visit again.
Had a wonderful stay. Owners are very friendly with milk and cookies for coffee when you arrive. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and close to everything.
Stay was pleasant. Place is well equipped. Can maybe just replace bed, didn't sleep very comfortably. Maybe just leave a cupboard open for groceries. A lot of effort was put into sharing attractions with us, and kept up to date with everything that was going on, it was so nice to be able to plan around it, and get maximum enjoyment out of our holiday. Appreciated it very much.

Bleshoender is ideal for people who want to explore the area from a central location. It's ideal for single people or couples who don't tow prams during their trip. The unit is located at the end of a piped road up a steep hill with limited turning space. Personally, I do not see this unit for a family with children due to the small area in front of the unit and the downhill/slope behind this area. There are also cats that enter the unit if the doors are left open which will most likely happen with families with children moving in and out. The unit has everything that could possibly be needed, apart from an indoor faucet and sink for washing dishes. This has to happen outside and there is a tap outside where water can be drawn for the kettle and washing up. There is a braai.
Very nice stay, everything was clean and tidy and Suzette was wonderful. Had a great time and learned many things. Will stay there again and will keep in touch with the hostess. Wonderful view and thanks to Suzette for caring so much about nature and animal life. "Keep going."

The views around the unit are good and are forests. However, you are very close to the lake (frame 2 km) and the sea.
The accommodation was lovely and the view unbeatable. The house and garden were just hard with our 2 toddlers (3 years and 18 months). The kids wanted to play with all the garden ornaments and there is a sharp downhill in front of the apartment, which was very appealing to our busy kids, so I had to try and stop the whole time. I would recommend the stay to anyone, but I think families with kids should rather pass by.

This little gem in the mountain was perfect for us. We only needed a place to sleep, but we wished we had more time there. It is a small, simple but comfortable and peaceful place. We loved it. Thank you Suzette. We will definitely come back for a stay.

Bleshoender is really a value for money place to stay if you want to explore this beautiful area or just want to visit. The apartment is beautiful, fully equipped, clean and tidy with a very friendly hostess in a safe environment with a beautiful view of the town and mountains from a nice porch/garden. Close enough to town and sea. Can really recommend. Affordable nice stay.
Beautiful place to stay. Small, but clean place and everything you need is provided. Me and my wife enjoyed the 2 weeks we spend with Danie and Suzete very much. The friendship we build would last a lifetime. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again.

Incredible value for money, spacious and clean. Be prepared for a steep, narrow driveway. Everything you need, all you have to bring is your own personal stuff and your bed sheets.

Homely atmosphere with special touches, walking distance from the Swartvlei where you can snorkel with the tide to the mouth and watch the amazing fish.

Please take note: The establishment is under the main house, which is situated in a pan handle, against a dune. There is no fence around the house. The driveway is very steep and dangerous to small kids. As is the garden because of it's terraces, so small kids will have to be watch 24/7.
